CASAGRANDE is a collective created in 1996 by the Chilean poets Santiago Barcaza, Cristóbal Bianchi, Julio Carrasco and Joaquín Prieto. Their actions, which periodically cross the boundaries between literature, art and performance, using unconventional strategies to rework historical memory with poetry, discussing contemporary conflicts and the recent past. The Rain of Poems is their best-known project, in which they launch thousands of poems from helicopters in cities that have been subject to military bombing. These have been carried out in Madrid (2018), Milan (2015), London, (2012), Berlin (2010), Warsaw (2009), Guernica (2004), Dubrovnik (2002) and Santiago de Chile (2001).
