Join us for an afternoon of gaita and millo from the Caribbean region of Colombia. The event will feature the participation of NYC-based migrant artists who interpret the musical traditions that have been passed down for generations in the Montes de María región. Invited musicians have been influential in bringing these traditions to the musical landscape in New York city, and have participated in projects such as Maraca Bruja, Rebolú, KUYE, and MAKU among others.

Fridays on the Patio started in Fall 2021 as a space for community, conversation and food to share and enjoy. The programs are student-centered, but open to all.
