Laura Turégano of the King Juan Carlos I Spain Center (KJCC) and Alejandro Moreno of the Creative Writing in Spanish (CWS) Series, invited you to NYU’s DramaLab 2021.

DramaLab 2021 featured two days of virtual readings of plays written by CWS Master’s students Laura Galindo (Colombia) and Daniela Trabuchi (Argentina): Wednesday 5th and Friday 7th May, 7:00 p.m.

With the assistance of invited authors, directors, actors and artists, the two theatrical texts written by Galindo and Trabuchi were performed in Spanish.

Sinopsis: Sombras chinescas is a family reunion during Christmas night. Julia, her mother and her aunt organize a dinner party where absences and presences play hide and seek and where guests discover they are not as alone as they think.

Daniela Trabuchi (1983) is an Argentinian writer born in Ushuaia, Tierra del Fuego. She holds a degree in Literature from the Universidad de Buenos Aires. She has been awarded scholarships to participate in J.M. Coetzee´s seminars on Australian Literature at Universidad de San Martín. She holds an MFA in Creative Writing is Spanish from New York University. Her short stories and articles have been published in diverse publications in Argentina, Spain and the U.S.
