Location: KJCC Atrium & Patio at 53 Washington Square South, New York, NY 10012
The KJCC Fridays on the Patio Program works to connect NYU students and faculty and invite them into the Center for cultural discussions and community building during select Fridays from 4-6pm. We aim to provide a diverse array of programming, so that all community members feel welcome and celebrated.
CROCHET AND KNITTING ON THE PATIO - MUSIC WITH WNYU. Whether you know how to knit and crochet or not, come join us for a chill crochet/knit circle on the KJCC patio. We will provide needles and hooks, yarn, and know how. Please feel free to bring projects in-progress, and relax with refreshments and conversation while we listen to music curated by WNYU’s Son del Caribe radio show.
Join our special guest fiber artist Naomi Lawrence, “Naomirag” in a hands-on demonstration of crochet techniques for an easy-to-follow project and a discussion about community-based crochet projects she has led in Harlem and East Harlem during the pandemic. For more on Naomi’s bio and work: https://naomirag.com/about/
Guests are encouraged to RSVP via our Google Form available at kjcc.org or posted weekly with the KJCC newsletter (sign up at: kjcc.org).
